Y TÚ QUÉ TAL is set on an ordinary morning in 1986. It follows Iván, whose first day of a summer job as a social assistant takes an unexpected turn when his new client collapses on the kitchen floor. The film holds two strangers inside a single room for the length of an emergency and observes what obligation does to people who have no relationship to each other.

The film is taken from Boris Alexander’s own life. At fifteen he began a summer job as a social assistant. On the first day the woman he had been sent to, whom he had never met, collapsed and died in his arms, and he stayed alone with her body until the ambulance came. The kitchen was designed from nothing and built as a full set at Plato 600, Madrid, down to the wallpaper, which he drew by hand and had manufactured. The t-shirt worn in the film was drawn after a shirt from club RoXY where he worked as a gogo dancer in Amsterdam in the early 90’s, its SM mask replaced with his own face in drag make-up. Her death is the most composed image in the film.
